Thursday, September 21, 2023
Reunion Packet Pick Up and the Welcome Back Mingler at Radisson Bar & Grill (RBG) – We had a room that was overflowing with friends and classmates getting reacquainted as packets were picked up. Laughter and joy filled the room! At 9:30 pm, the lights flickered off and on (reminiscent of times when Mom did that if you were parked outside too long at the end of a date) to let us know that the evening had come to an end. Thank you to Letty, Becky, Yoli, Ed, and Julio for setting up a smooth registration process and to Willie, Norma, and Eddie for helping with the set up!
Homecoming Parade – Our float was beautifully decorated as well as the most spirited! Thank you, Rosie and Clari, along with all your volunteers who made this happen! Everyone who rode said it was an amazing and fun experience!

Pep Rally at McHi - What a fun event getting to relive those McHi days! The Class of 74 was fairly apathetic as seniors but 50 years later, no one can say that! Everyone looked amazing in their 50th Reunion t-shirts! Thank you, Willie Carrillo, for designing and obtaining t-shirts for us!
Homecoming Football Game – The Bulldogs were victorious over Rio Grande City! Those who attended observed that so much is the same as people gathered to support our team. How fun it was to observe everyone coming together as "Bulldogs" to support our team!
The Way We Were Get Together – Bella Mia was the perfect place to gather with friends to unwind after the game. Delicious appetizers were served throughout the evening. Indoors and outdoors, the sound of nonstop chatter and laughter could be heard. The party continued til after midnight! The food was wonderful and the company even better! Thank you to Clari, Rosie, Cris, Yoli and Letty for finding this venue, to Adrianne, Betty, Ellie, Doreen, Norma, Yoli, and Letty for set up and the fabulous decorations, and to the staff at Bella Mia! We also appreciate all the spouses who pitched in to move tables, decorate and clean up!

Tour of McHi - The tour was well attended and all said they loved the opportunity to walk the halls of McHi again.
Forever Young Dinner & Dance at the Radisson Hotel Ballroom – It was magical! The Ballroom was exquisitely decorated in purple and gold then filled with our very beautiful and handsome bulldogs...200+ in attendance! We dined, we visited, we danced, and we laughed until the wee hours of the morning. Thank you to Adrianne and Doreen for the very moving Memorial for our classmates "who went before us", to the Radisson staff, and to Letty, Clari, Rosie, Cris, Rennetta, Yoli, Ed, Becky, and Jennifer who all had a hand in making the magic!
Sunday Morning, September 24:
Never Can Say Goodbye Breakfast was the last opportunity to gather with friends before going our separate ways. The breakfast buffet at the Radisson was excellent! Given that many of us were up quite late three nights in a row, the breakfast was very well attended. Again, classmates gathered and shared NEW memories of our magical 50th Reunion. The biggest question was, "When will we meet again?"
