McHi Class of 74
Forever Young 52 1/2 Reunion
Laughter and non-stop chatter were the sounds of the Forever Young Class of 74's 52 1/2 Reunion!
Friday, April 10, 2026:
We met at Roosevelt’s (321 N Main St, McAllen) for happy hour with hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and live music. The atmosphere was perfect for reconnecting! The outdoor space was filled with our mighty Bulldog Class of 1974. The food kept coming and was delicious! While many of us were reminded of the humidity in the RGV, the rain kept the temperature reasonable. It was such a fun evening!
Saturday, April 11, 2026:
Allysa’s Acres (1721 E Mile 2 Road, Mission) was the site of a Texas Style Party on Saturday evening. The venue was decorated beautifully in gold and purple. There was plenty of room to visit, eat, and dance! Starlite food truck provided dinner...both the fried chicken and hamburgers were delicious...and the portions were huge! When the Reynosa Campos Taco truck showed up at 10:00 pm, we wondered how we could eat another bite, but we thoroughly enjoyed the street tacos they provided.
Dancing, laughter, and chatter! It was so much fun!
A BIG THANK YOU to Yoli for providing this wonderful venue!
Thank you to Letty, Becky, and Yoli for leading and organizing this gathering. Thank you to Clari, Rosie, Adrianne, Cris, Betty, Mary G. and Doreen who were there from the beginning to help and plan, and were key to all of the wonderful touches. Thanks also to David Valadez for handling the drinks, Julio and Tony C for putting up the banners, and Mario Contreras for setting up the projectors. Irma A. and Ellie, your help with decorating and clean up was greatly appreciated. To all who assisted with each of these events...THANK YOU! Everything was just perfect!
